here's to blogging in the new year! for me and for my blogging buddies. you know who you are.

i've kinda been slacking on this page and I feel it's time to play catch-up with my life as it is at this moment.

first off: evaluation of my first quarter at college. ... it was good. no, really. i mean, at first i complained a lot, but really, it was just me adjusting. now that i'm back in o-town, i'm really excited to get back to my life in seattle. i miss my friends down my hall, the ones I was just starting to get close to during finals week. i miss my roommates (ShortOne more than SpongeBob, granted, but what can you do). i miss visiting south campus and eating soft serve and late-night cafeteria food, and watching south park and sealab 2021 on laptops, and being eternally online, and bubble tea runs, and German class, and Briazz New York Roma sandwiches, and Buffalo Exchange, and the bus system, and coffee and snacks on my meal card, and and and. i'm excited for next quarter classes, which are more of the same, really (German, Chemistry, Honors and a seminar), but i feel more capable of handling them now, (though 1st quarter grades were surprisingly decent. plus my chem class is no longer at 5:30 at night, so i'll attend more often, and the prof will be better - there is no other way because the last prof was the dumbest person i've ever met, I tell you no lies. i'm glad to be rid of my first honors class, though - man that lady was boring.)

but leaving oly again has certain complications - no car at school, for one. and i leave my friends behind, though not really because they're all off to college too, for the most part.

more to follow.
